Inspirada en la memorable emisora en FM de la radio musical de los '80s en Barranquilla y Santa Marta, ciudades del caribe colombiano.

Descripción completa: Es la versión en Streaming de audio de la recordada emisora musical de la radio en frecuencia modulada (100.1 Mhz) que cautivó miles de oyentes en las ciudades de Barranquilla y Santa Marta durante la segunda mitad de la década de los '80s(1984-1989), logrando posicionarse como la primera en su género y la tercera más escuchada entre la audiencia general (suma de segmentos socio económicos de la capital del Atlántico) según resultados de preferencia arrojados por la consulta en hogares y vehículos, realizada por la firma Analizar para la Asociación Nacional de Anunciantes, ANDA, entre Junio y Julio de 1988.

Su señal de prueba inició una emisión continua en el mes de Octubre de 1984 hasta Octubre de 1989 cuando sus propietarios, la cadena radial O.R.O. ante la negativa del Ministerio de Comunicaciones de conceder nuevas licencias en ciudades capitales del país por el escándalo conocido como "Miti-Miti", decidió trasladar la frecuencia a la ciudad de Cáli, en el occidente colombiano, pero para emitir allí como su emisora popular conocida como Olímpica Estéreo debido a la necesidad de publicidad que demandaba por aquel tiempo la cadena de Supertiendas Olímpica la cual se encontraba en expansión y abría en esa ciudad su primera tienda. Fue el obligado sacrificio de esta memorable radio musical angloamericana de la ciudad de Barranquilla que dejó en la orfandad a sus miles de oyentes, en su mayoría jovenes adolescentes y adultos contemporáneos de la época, ya que era la única opción de radio con programación musical de los géneros del pop y el rock. Oro Estéreo dejó una endeleble huella en la memoria de barranquilleros, tanto de nacimiento como de adopción, que hoy son adultos que han encontrado en la nueva Roro Estéreo la mejor manera de reencontrarse con sus recuerdos.

Hoy su contenido, además de pop anglo, en mayor porcentaje compuesto por clásicos de los '80s, está matizado por grandes Hits de los '90s y del final de los '70s, mezclado con un poco del llamado "Recurrent" o éxitos de la música adulta contemporánea de los 2000 y hasta de años recientes. Es una emisora para "Volver a Vivir lo Vivido".
